I’ve just had an interesting e-mail from a certain Mr. Jon Phillips (of rejon.org, which sounds strangely familiar to me somehow) after I posted to the Drivel mailing list with a request to know if the project was still alive or had been all but abandoned. I did suggest that, despite my limited knowledge of C and C++, that I take over or fork the project so that I could solve the aforementioned problem of multiple category support.

As it turns out, Jon was thinking the same thing, and we’re now working together to find out more about the future of the project and whether it would be prudent to take over the project or fork it. Watch this space for more details.
